License agreement.
The license terms for installing and using Quick Shot Studio.
Before you install
By installing or using Quick Shot Studio, you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the software.
Ask a license questionAgreement
This End User License Agreement is between you and Quick Shot Studio, the publisher of the Quick Shot Studio Windows desktop application. It applies to the software, documentation, updates, and supplements unless separate terms are provided with a particular item.
License grant
Subject to this agreement, Quick Shot Studio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software on Windows computers you own or control. You may use the software for personal work, internal business work, and commercial image production.
The software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Beta software
Beta builds are pre-release software. Features may be incomplete, contain errors, change without notice, or be removed. Quick Shot Studio may suspend or discontinue beta access at any time. Keep independent backups of important source files, projects, and output.
Do not rely on a beta build as the sole system for safety-critical, mission-critical, or irreplaceable work.
Permitted copies
You may make a reasonable backup copy of the installer or software for your own lawful use. Any copy must retain the original copyright, trademark, and other notices.
Restrictions
You may not:
- sell, sublicense, lease, rent, publish, or distribute the software to another person;
- provide the software as a hosted or stand-alone service for others;
- work around license controls or technical limitations;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software except where applicable law or a third-party component license expressly permits it;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark, license, or attribution notices; or
- use the software unlawfully, to infringe another person's rights, or to create or distribute malware.
Your files and output
You retain your rights in models, textures, materials, decals, project files, and other content you bring into the software. You also retain your rights in images, videos, and other output you create, subject to any rights that apply to third-party source material you used.
You are responsible for having the rights needed to use your source material. Quick Shot Studio does not claim ownership of your project files or rendered output.
Files sent to support
If you voluntarily send a project file, model, image, diagnostic, or other content to support, you grant Quick Shot Studio permission to access, reproduce, and analyze that material only as reasonably needed to provide support, investigate the issue, and improve the software. Do not send material you are not authorized to share.
Third-party software and assets
Quick Shot Studio includes or works with third-party software, libraries, fonts, and assets that may be governed by separate license terms and notices. Those terms control the applicable third-party items.
Blender is installed separately and is governed by its own license. This agreement does not grant a license to Blender or change the terms that apply to it.
Ownership
Quick Shot Studio and its licensors retain all rights in the software, product name, branding, documentation, bundled content, and underlying technology, excluding user files and user output as described above.
Updates and changes
Quick Shot Studio may provide updates, fixes, or new versions. An update may add, change, or remove functionality and may be governed by updated or additional terms. No particular update, feature, or period of support is guaranteed during beta testing.
Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback, you grant Quick Shot Studio a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, modify, publish, and commercialize that feedback without payment or attribution. This does not transfer ownership of project files or other user content supplied only for support.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how website, support, beta, and application information is handled.
Support
Beta support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis without a guaranteed response or resolution time. Support may require current software, system, and reproduction information.
Termination
You may end this agreement by uninstalling the software and deleting copies under your control. Your license ends automatically if you materially breach this agreement. When the license ends, you must stop using the software and delete all copies, except where applicable law permits otherwise.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the software and support are provided as is and as available, with all faults. Quick Shot Studio disclaims express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in this agreement limits consumer rights or statutory guarantees that cannot be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quick Shot Studio and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, data, files, or goodwill arising from the software or this agreement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, total liability for all claims relating to the software or this agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the software. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
General terms
If a provision of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. This agreement and any terms supplied with a specific update or component form the entire agreement about the software.
Changes to this agreement
This agreement may be updated for future releases. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of a release after receiving updated terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
